![]() The funnel cake was really good and the BBQ Place was decent, loved their corn bread - a bit pricey but good. My personal fav was finding 4 beautiful baby pigs taking a nap in the barn area (see my photo). The rides were fun, fairly short but some are scary in a good way. A Snoopy and gang musical parade, a fireworks show and dressing up the park with lights on trees are just some basic things that would elevate the park tremendously. Should have a light show at night, which would also improve the awful nighttime lighting and increase sales. While waiting in lines all we could hear was boring outdated music from a distance. They definitely need better forms of entertainment. They should have better healthy food choices. ![]() Staff should be more friendly and professional and less condescending and rude to customers. But there is definitely room for improvement. I'm giving them 4 stars based on the fact that it's way more affordable than their competitors and also for short wait times on most of their rides. Lots of unhealthy food options, which is a bummer. Everything closes at 6pm and the park is very dark once the sun goes down - awful night time lighting. The staff is definitely less friendly and actually saw a couple staff personnel yell at customers. No parades, no real fun atmosphere and no ongoing entertainment. Less action then Disneyland that's for sure. Tip: no pets allowed inside the Observatory, but you can have your pet on a leash outside the Observatory.Ī great alternative for families on a budget and who hate waiting in long lines. Even kids will enjoy this place! This is one of those must-see places in Los Angeles. There are incredible views from everywhere here, and the Observatory itself is amazing and educational. It is SUPER busy on the weekends, so if you want to skip some of the crowd, try to go during workday hours in the week.Įxperience: this place is super cool and beautiful. I did not see any wheelchairs here to rent, though. The doors are propped open to get inside the Observatory, and there are elevators to get from the first floor up to the top of the Observatory, and a separate elevator to go down to the gift shop and separate exhibits. Once you get up to the Observatory, there are ramps on both the left and right side of the Observatory to go inside of it and skip the stairs directly in front. If you can walk but have difficulty walking, I do recommend bringing your own wheelchair. If you are disabled most of the street crossing are ramped and have audio and visual indicators.Īccessibility: there are some disabled parking spots in the parking closest to the Observatory, but it is still not a very short distance, be aware. I saw a lot of naked I have not seen in years. Walking down the street was a walk down memory lane. And their were a few street performers around, not too many since it was mid day on a week day. ![]() Their were lots of tour companies offering bus or van tours of the area sights for around $20. Everyone was super nice about that and people were respectful about taking photos with star giving others time for photos. ![]() First off everyone is looking down reading stars and we only bumped into two people. I wasn’t that excited about this but felt I had to give it a try. Pros: free, safe crosswalks, safe feeling during the day, lots of restaurants and activities.Ĭons: parking is challenging, restrooms are limited (many places do not have public restrooms) so plan ahead. I took my two kids 14 and 5 here during the day on a weekday, it was easy and they we all enjoyed it. Exciting walk with kids that brings back memories. ![]()
